HydraFacial is a versatile facial treatment, ideal for:
- Dull skin
- Dry skin
- Ageing skin
How does HydraFacial work?
The HydraFacial treatment system works by using a patented six-step process.
Step 1 – Detoxify
A special technique is used to stimulate circulation and help flush out toxins using the skin’s lymphatic system.
Step 2 – Cleanse and exfoliate
A hand-held device is used to carefully lift away dead skin cells and surface debris, for a deep-cleaning and smoothing effect.
Step 3 – Brighten and refresh
Glycolic and salicylic acid are administered to the skin’s surface. These powerful exfoliants make impurities in the skin easier to remove. They also help to brighten the complexion and improve the appearance of brown spots.
Step 4 – Extract impurities
A mixture of skin-loving honey extract and salicylic acid helps to further lift blackheads and congestion from pores.
Step 5 – Hydrate and nourish
Hyaluronic acid, peptides and antioxidants are delivered deep into the skin’s surface for a plumping and hydrating effect.
Step 6 – Stimulate and rejuvenate
The skin is exposed to LED light therapy to help stimulate natural collagen production, reducing redness and improving skin tone.
Will it work for my skin type?
HydraFacial is very gentle so can be used by people who have problematic or sensitive skin, including those with acne. Your practitioner will be able to advise you on which treatment is most suitable for your skin:
Skin Health For Life HydraFacial:
This treatment uses the six steps outlined above to cleanse, exfoliate, extract impurities, boost hydration and brighten the skin.
A non-invasive solution to fine lines and wrinkles, Dermabuilder is also based on the six-step process, with an added anti-ageing serum to improve firmness.
When used as part of an acne treatment programme, the Acne HydraFacial can help improve the appearance of acne by unblocking pores, removing excess oil and soothing angry, inflamed skin.
Acne Pro HydraFacial:
This is similar to the Acne HydraFacial, but also incorporates the added benefit of Isolaz, which uses pulsed light and a special vacuum action to kill bacteria and extract blockages from pores.
What areas can be treated?
HydraFacial is most often used on the face, but it can be used on other areas of skin, including the back, neck, chest and hands.
Why should I have this treatment?
HydraFacial helps to improve the health and texture of your skin and provide lasting hydration. It works well as a weekly pick-me-up for your skin, or as a wider treatment programme to address acne or pigmentation.
What results can I expect?
Your skin will begin to look smoother, brighter and more hydrated after just one treatment and this will get progressively better the more treatments you have.
How many treatments will I need?
A course of six treatments is usually recommended to get the best results. Your practitioner will assess your skin and build a treatment plan to help you achieve the results you are looking for.
A personalised aftercare plan will be given to you after your treatment. This will be determined by your skin type and which type of HydraFacial you have had. We always advise you to protect your skin after a treatment with an SPF 30 sunscreen.
Are there any side effects from HydraFacial?
This is a gentle treatment, so any side effects are minimal. You may experience some redness and slight peeling, depending on your skin and the type of HydraFacial you have had. Your practitioner will be able to give you more personalised advice about what side effects to expect.
